No Waste Co. was founded by Tyler and Kelsey Doohen and Dawn Doohen in 2022. The following year, Josh Torgerson and Lane Oversen joined the ownership team. The team members are local to the area, having either been born and raised or spent most of their lives living in Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana.

It began with Tyler, who first noticed a pile of plastic thread protectors headed for the landfill. He spent a couple of years dreaming and researching ways to reduce plastic waste deriving from drilling operations in the Bakken Oil Field. Over time the vision expanded. Not only do we want to recycle plastics, but we aim to provide employment opportunities and see humanity make the most of a second chance.
